	Paul Koch, M.D. Dr. Koch is a Founder and the Medical Director of Koch Eye Associates in Rhode Island. His specialty is Cataract, Lens Implantation, Refractive Surgery and Laser Eye Surgery including LASIK & Custom Lasik Laser Eye Surgery. Dr. Koch has been named one of the Top 100 Ophthalmologists and one of the Top 15 Cataract Surgeons in North America by Ophthalmology Times.He has been cited in each issue of the Best Doctors in America. He has won many awards including the Mericos H. Whittier Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award, the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Honor Award, the David Kelman Foundation's Golden Hands Award, the Irish-American Ophthalmology Society's Top-Gun Phaco Award, the Hoffer Award and the International Film Festival of the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Award. He was in the inaugural group of inductees into the Bishop Hendricken High School Hall of Fame. Dr. Koch has written seven textbooks on eye surgery, six of them about cataract surgery, which are the standard reading materials for residency programs in the U.S. and abroad. He has also authored a book about corneal refractive surgery including LASIK & Custom Lasik Laser Eye Surgery and written many journal articles, book chapters, and specialty editorials on Cataract Surgery, Lens Replacement Surgery, LASIK and Custom Lasik Laser Eye Surgery. Presently, he is editing the first textbook on refractive lens implants for myopia and hyperopia.He has helped popularize many advances in cataract surgery, including techniques that permit surgery to be performed comfortably without anesthetic injections, and with vision recovery beginning only a few minutes after the operation is completed. In addition, prior to performing LASIK & Custom Lasik Laser Eye Surgery, Dr. Koch was one of the first refractive surgeons in America performing keratomileusis in 1979, keratophakia in 1980, and radial keratotomy in 1983. He has also had radial keratotomy himself. 	Terry Alexandrou, M.D. Terry Alexandrou, M.D. is a Corneal and LASIK specialist at Koch Eye Laser vision Centers in Rhode Island. Dr. Alexandrou was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Following medical school, Dr. Alexandrou completed his medical internship at the University of California-San Diego (UCSD), and then completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Chicago, where he became Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. In addition he completed a Fellowship in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery at the University of California-San Diego (UCSD where he obtained specialized training in Laser Eye Surgery for Laser Vision Correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Dr. Alexandrou's professional interests include Laser Vision Correction, Corneal Surgery including Cornea Transplants and Cataract Surgery. His research has resulted in many published manuscripts and abstracts, as well as presentations at national meetings. Dr Alexandrou recently co-authored the "Sports Eye Injuries" chapter in the third edition of Albert and Jacobiac's Principles and Practice of Ophthalmology (Saunders, 2008). Dr. Alexandrou is a native of Ohio, where his parents settled after moving from Samos, Greece. He is fluent in Greek, and enjoys traveling there to visit family members.
